This hotel was the perfect location for our Easter break! the rooms were clean and comfy, and we particularly liked the fact that there was a fridge and coffee maker available in the room. Plus, the hotel was just a short walk away from all the best attractions and restaurants in the city, making it really easy to get around.
The area around the hotel wasn't great. There were a lot of dodgy characters loitering around, which was a bit off-putting.

Only the fact that the apartment was very centrally situated
The apartment certainly wasn't anything like it appears to be on the website! First of all It was infested with cockroaches, in plentiful numbers in the kitchen and bathrooms and also in the bedrooms, despite our attempts to get rid of them with insect-killers (bought by ourselves), etc. It was filthy and dusty, especially the floors and the furniture. The kitchen wasn't equipped to cook for 8 - or even 4 for that matter. The area in which it is situated is very seedy and run-down, not at all suitable for family groups. We've always rented apartments on holidays with very positive outcomes, this is the first truly negative experience we've ever had and the only drawback to a great holiday-we all loved Barcelona!

The apartment was equipped with a kitchen and clean sheets, which was nice. The location was close to the main roads and an easy walk to the beach, great for exploring the city. , the lock on the alleyway gate made us feel safe at night.
The hot water only lasted 5 showers, which was frustrating. The area was not the best and we felt uneasy walking alone at night.

After seeing the neighborhood I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the apartment. It is lovely but a bit difficult to find.

Location....location....location! Very modern apartments, clean and presentable.
Lack of directions to the apartments and also the reception.

Location is close to the centre. Rambla is in 2 minutes walk. Big apartments for that money.
From the other point of view the location is in poor district of Barcelona. A lot of arabian, indian, black people on the streets. My family was scared to walk on the street in the evening untill we reached Rambla.

The apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped.
The apartment didn't quite look the way that it does in the pictures online, the shower drainage was quite bad and it would have been nice if the person that gave us the keys to the apartment had explained that the street would be gated and closed at night so that it wasn't a shock when we arrived home to a steel gated street at one end and then another gated entrance at the other to which we didn't have a key!
